With the latest enhancements to Roofing Passport, Sherwin-Williams is putting roofing contractors in the driver’s seat of a high-performance machine designed for growth, efficiency and ease of use. In a recent MetalCast episode, Karen Edwards talks with Christian Zimprich, Junny Lee and Chris Morris, your pit crew for the Sherwin-Williams MetalVue program, to discuss the launch of Roofing Passport’s newest features and integrations to help streamline your workflow and provide easy access to job details.
Chris, a MetalVue partner with The Stonegate Group, perfectly captures the essence of Roofing Passport’s role in the metal roofing industry: “If you think about it like a race car, you have your engine or your nucleus, and that would be the Roofing Passport. That really enables or equips folks to use the latest technology to be able to order, to estimate, to procure with confidence.”
Roofing Passport serves as the metal roofing project engine, providing an intuitive estimating and ordering platform that streamlines workflows and eliminates guesswork. The broader MetalVue program is the chassis that supports this powerful engine. “MetalVue will help folks with articulating or leveraging the brand that is Sherwin-Williams and the coatings that are provided – the longevity and durability that those give a homeowner,” Chris continues. “And then you can think about ways to leverage that in the home. The attributes that metal as a substrate gives from efficiency, from sustainability, all the way down to look and feel.”
Sherwin-Williams has fine-tuned Roofing Passport based on contractor feedback, ensuring that it meets real-world needs. Junny, MetalVue’s market segment manager, emphasizes this commitment to continuous improvement: “A lot of our efforts have been focused on the voice of the customer. We take into account all the feedback we receive from our customers, good or bad.”
That input led to a major overhaul of the platform’s user interface. “The biggest thing, especially with the user base today, they’ll notice is the refreshed interface,” Junny explains. “It’s cleaned up. It’s organized. It’s very visually appealing, and that really impacts the intuitive nature of Roofing Passport.”
But usability upgrades don’t stop at aesthetics. Roofing Passport now offers enhanced job management tools as well, making it easier for contractors to stay on top of their active quotes and projects. The improvements create a seamless experience for anyone utilizing the program. As Christian, MetalVue’s sales director, puts it, “What's been really core to the foundation of the program since the beginning is strong partnerships with experienced companies in the industry. And that's allowed us to really integrate and bring together a lot of capabilities that I think, again, will help this rising tide that exists for metal anyway and just open the floodgates and really help metal grow as a share of the market.”
