Karen Edwards: Hello everybody. This is Karen Edwards coming to you live from the Roofers Coffee Shop Sound Stage at the 2022 International Roofing Expo in New Orleans. I am really excited to welcome my friends from DuPont. 

Jeff Argus: Hello, Karen. 

Karen Edwards: Sorry had a little tongue stumble there. This is Jeff and this is Tara. Welcome and tell us what you do there at DuPont. 

Jeff Argus: Great. Thank you for having me, by the way. I work with DuPont Tedlar. Tedlar is a polyvinyl fluoride film, which is similar, if you think about it kind of PPDF, except we're a film and not a coding. And so I do business development and sales for the company, and we just launched this product into the roofing market space using Metal Alliance. Tara's company is our exclusive supplier for the roofing industry. 

Karen Edwards: Okay. So Tara, welcome. Tell me what you do. 

Tara Faulkner: Thank you. And thank you for having me as well. So we basically specialize in moving the coil and flat sheets of the Tedlar product into the market for application. 

Karen Edwards: All right. So congratulations on the new product launch. That's always really exciting and it's really exciting to debut it at a show like this. So tell our listeners, if they're roofing contractor, where are they going to use this product? What are the applications? 

Jeff Argus: Okay. Tara, do you want to? 

Tara Faulkner: So this product is ideal for coastal applications as well as inland because of the specialty properties in Tedlar. We developed it first on aluminum for coastal applications, as well as inland and it's can be used in the roofing market, as well as the metal building, wall panels, roofing application. 

Karen Edwards: Okay. And now we were chatting just a little bit before we started the interview and you were talking about the longevity. talk a little bit about that. 

Jeff Argus: Yeah. So we've had installations across the world 35 years old, and you actually take a sample of the Tedlar film, put it up against the metal facade and you cannot tell the difference. There's almost no color fade to the product after 35 years. So for example, if you have some kind of damage happens, you don't have to replace the whole roof. You can just replace the panel and that's all. And the other thing about it, we have no coastal restrictions. So you put it up right against the ocean. The warranty is good, for what about 50 years or so, 

Karen Edwards: And all that salt spray and sea air is not, 

Jeff Argus: Not a problem at all. 

Tara Faulkner: Wow. So having an up to 50 year warranty in this market is pretty incredible. 

Karen Edwards: That is incredible. Wow. Okay. So if I want to try this product, I'm a contractor. How do I get it? Where do I get it? 

Tara Faulkner: So can contact Metal Alliance. We can provide samples of the product and also help a contractor walk through the process of purchasing. 

Karen Edwards: Excellent. So we're obviously here at the International Roofing Expo. It's the last day. So if you're here at the show, you've got about three more hours. You want to head over to DuPont's booth. And the booth number is ?

Tara Faulkner: It's Pretty incredible. 

Jeff Argus: So basically he will actually bend quarters. He will take a pen and move it in your hand. It's wild. 

Karen Edwards: No wires or tricks or anything? 

Jeff Argus: Not that I see 

Karen Edwards: It's crazy. Wow. So in addition, so finding out more about Tedlar and this fabulous product. I think I'm going to have to come by for that. 

Jeff Argus: You're going to love it. You're going to just, wow.
