Learn more about the impact automating your software systems can have on customer satisfaction in this RLW.

In a recent Read Listen Watch™, Organic Engagement Manager Sarah DuBois and Communications Manager Jeanteil Livingston from JobNimbus spoke with RoofersCoffeeShop® President Heidi J. Ellsworth about the benefits of incorporating software automations.

Software automations are part of our daily lives, whether we are aware of them or not. Our mobile alarm clocks or email notifications are good examples of these automations we are used to. But roofing software automation is more specific to your roofing business, such as sending automatic email or text notifications to customers.

Sarah shares that an automation Podium, a partner of JobNimbus, provides is sending customers an automatic text to schedule appointments rather than doing it manually. While it might seem more personable to call them yourself, sometimes you might be short staffed or have too many tasks on your plate. But when you get automated software to schedule the appointment for you via text or email, it makes things easier for both you and the customer.

“The customer's expectations are managed, they know what's going on, they already got a text or they already got an email,” Sarah says. “They don't even need to call you, they already know what's going on and you don't have to worry. So, it's win-win for everybody.”

Another great way to increase customer satisfaction with automations is with automatic follow-up emails. Jeanteil gives a great example of how using a prepared email to follow up with a customer inquiry looks a lot more professional than not using this service. If someone fills out a form on your website and gets an automatic response, you look a lot more favorable than a company that doesn’t follow through with contact requests right away.

“If the guy down the street didn't pick up the phone and the inquiry goes dark, the customer hadn't heard back, you're getting the business. You're getting that money, you're getting these in your pipeline so, that's one of the cool parts about it,” Jeanteil says.
