SRS Creating a technological ecosystem

Streamline the costly and time-consuming process of estimating with this new tool from SRS! 

In a recent Roofing Road Trips® episode, Karen Edwards spoke to Ashley Garcia and Kevin Carfa of SRS Distribution to talk about how they are revolutionizing the project estimating process for roofing professionals through their Roof Hub Estimator tool. Ashley, who is the lead for digital solutions at SRS, explained a bit of what their overarching goal is with this project, saying, “Our team's passion really lies in understanding our customer's challenges and finding innovative solutions that make a real difference. That means going beyond just providing the solutions and working hand-in-hand with our customers to implement these tools into their operations.” 

The tool that they have been focusing on recently is the Roof Hub Estimator. This program gives contractors real-time pricing and customizable estimates that streamline their workflow. Ashley explained how they landed on this project, sharing, “We really had an aha-moment when we were talking to our contractors and they were just sharing their struggles with the estimating process. The frustration was that it takes time, there's so much potential for errors with things like maintaining the pricing.” Roof Hub Estimator is able to ease these frustrations and problems by allowing contractors to “give their homeowners choices that make them feel empowered and understood. They can offer three tiered packages with different features and benefits that allow the homeowner to pick the option that's going to perfectly suit their budget and needs.” Once the homeowner makes their choice, the program packages it all up into a neat, professional PDF for easy reference!  

This tool is incredible on its own, but it truly shines in the context of the larger SRS digital ecosystem. Kevin, who leads the greater SRS digital team, worked with Ashley and her team on this. He explained, “The selling point is really the total ecosystem that we have. Certainly, we're talking about Roof Hub here, it's a terrific tool. But it's also just kind of that greater interconnected ecosystem of our technology partners, our measurement partners, weather, kind of everything that goes into it.”
