By Lauren White, RCS Assistant Editor.
When RoofersCoffeeShop® (RCS) learned that roofing professionals want to consume content how they want and when they want, RCS developed RLW, which stands for Read, Listen, Watch. Now, contractors can read a transcript before bed, listen to a podcast on their morning commute, or watch a webinar while enjoying their morning coffee.
Our latest RLW features Tim Kersey, the vice president and general manager of SOPREMA USA, and Matt Davis, SOPREMA’s marketing manager. During the webinar, Tim and Matt spoke with Heidi J. Ellsworth, RCS partner, about The Future of Sustainability and Roofing.
There is a growing need for sustainable products and systems on the roof. Additionally, there is a societal demand for corporate responsibility around sustainability. Knowing this, SOPREMA believes the impact of sustainable construction and buildings are more important than ever. Around the world, buildings are responsible for approximately 40% of the world’s energy consumption, and just in the United States, buildings account for 50%.
SOPREMA is a leader in responsible product design, sustainable operations and engagement of employees to think outside of the box and push for a greener tomorrow. Kersey shared that these elements are at the heart of SOPREMA’s mission and core values.
During the webinar, Kersey shared that SOPREMA is committed to environmental stewardship at the highest levels of the corporation. SOPREMA offers strong solutions for roofing contractors and building owners on the roof at a global scale. They are also doing their part to offer environmentally sustainable products. SOPREMA has partnered with 3M to produce smog-reducing granules and bright white granules, which are already making a difference as part of SOPREMA’s ECO3 line of products.
Kersey provides roofing contractors with guidance on how to grow their businesses with sustainability and thought leadership in this RLW. He also shares what types of products, procedures and culture roofing contractors can be embracing around sustainability and what they should think about for their customers and employees in terms of being environmentally responsible.
This RLW is full of useful information for roofing professionals who are interested in making their businesses more environmentally responsible and working towards a more sustainable future.
