The power of technology, on and off the roof

This year’s exclusive R-Club trainings with John Kenney look at technology in a variety of different parts of the roofing industry.

At The Coffee Shops™, we are the place “Where the Industry Meets.” From hosting panels and webinars on our site to sponsoring events and taking you live onto the trade show floor, we constantly strive to live up to that mission. One of our big initiatives towards that goal is the RoofersCoffeeShop® (RCS) R-Club! This program is an incredible way for contractors and other professionals in the industry to learn, network and grow together!  

Among the many benefits that come with joining R-Club is exclusive access to quarterly, free trainings from John Kenney of Cotney Consulting Group. These trainings are hosted live, so you get an incredible opportunity to learn directly from one of the industry’s leaders. This year, John will be focusing on how R-Club members can leverage technology to adapt and thrive in an industry consistently changing and innovating.  

The first session, hosted in March 2025, covered how artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping and revolutionizing core business operations. The second session shifts the focus onto automation in the industry, exploring the ideas of automated and collaborative robots. Then, in the third quarter of 2025, John will guide R-Club members through a conversation about how drone technology has become essential to roofing inspections and efficiency. Last but not least, this year will close out with insights on the power of 3D printing and how utilizing it not only accelerates your project timeline but reduces waste and material shortages.

While we hope you can make it to these sessions live to participate fully in discussions with John and the other R-Club members, these trainings will also be available to members on demand afterwards. Currently, there are sessions available to watch on everything from roof estimating training to risk and crisis management tips.
