Rooftop Safety Solutions That Last for Life

We hear from Tremco representatives about their latest advancements in roof safety. 

When we think of rooftop safety solutions for installers, most of the systems out there are temporary. Tremco has been innovating their safe work practices and brainstorming ways to make roofing safer. In a recent podcast with Phillip Harris, Tremco’s product manager, we got to learn about their latest developments in permanent roof safety. 

In recent years, Phillip tells us that they have been partnering with their customers to implement lasting roof safety solutions. One of these solutions includes permanent safety, which means whatever safety system Tremco uses while working on their roof will be left on there rather than getting removed when their job is done. This means that when the roof needs repairs, anyone can safely get up on the roof.  

“If something goes on in a building, people aren't waiting for individuals to come out when they have their own maintenance team on hand. Somebody's going to go up [on the roof] and do that initial analysis,” Phillip says.  

Because they understand this, Tremco has developed a team of Safety Solutions Representatives (SSRs) who create rooftop safety evaluations for Tremco’s customers. The SSRs will create safety reports for building owners and their maintenance teams to help them determine critical areas where safety solutions need to be implemented the most.  

“It allows the customer to build that same asset management plan for the rooftop safety as they're used to doing for any and everything when it comes to extending the life of that building,” Phillip says. “And now we’re also making it safe for everybody to work on.”
