Q: How long has your company been purchasing snow retention systems from Rocky Mountain Snow Guards?
A: Rocky Mountain Snow Guards is our primary supplier of snow guards. We’ve been using their products since 2016.

Q: What types of roofs do you install snow guards on for your projects?
A: Every type imaginable. From standing seam, fastened and corrugated metal panels to real cedar shakes and asphalt shingles to clay and concrete tiles. We’re also using them on synthetic/composite shakes and slate plus single ply membrane and roofs with solar panels.

Q: Of all the projects you’ve worked on that included snow guards, which are your favorites, and why?
A: First, there’s the Ridgepoint Townhomes project that we did in 2021. We used the DaVinci Single-Width Shake and two types of snow guards. That’s a beautiful property. Second there’s an office complex on Highway 6 East in Avon, Colorado. We added a standing seam metal roof with S-5!® snow rails back in 2022 that turned out great.

Finally, we added a DaVinci Single-Width Slate roof to The Borders Lodge in Beaver Creek. That project required more than 5,000 dark bronze RG-16 snow guards installed across the entire roof!

Q: Why would you recommend Rocky Mountain Snow Guards products to another roofer?
A: They’re a reliable distributor that stocks products for a niche market in bulk. They have same day pickup options, plus free shipping if we choose. Their sales reps are good, and the service is reliable and solid.
