Local grandmother wins new roof through 'No Roof Left Behind' program.

Lynchburg, VA - Ella Arthur has been named winner of the Lynchburg No Roof Left Behind contest.

According to Lynchburg Roofing, Arthur was nominated for the No Roof Left Behind program because of the selfless love and joy that she shows to others.

A news release from Lynchburg Roofing said that Arthur has been on disability income since her right leg was amputated in 1969, and needs treatment for a tumor on her spine. She is currently caring for her two granddaughters, ages five and six, who's mother died in a car wreck last October.

The roof install date is to be determined by the homeowner and the Lynchburg Roofing team.
