Premier Legal Conference Makes for an Enjoyable Learning Environment

NRCA Austin Texas Premier
December 10, 2022 at 6:00 p.m.

By Alec Doniger.

Learn how to protect your business at a fun, collaborative conference led by the biggest leaders in the industry.

Familiarizing yourself with industry legal standards can be a tedious task. That’s why the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) hosts a legal conference every year to make this knowledge accessible for all roofing professionals. Attendees receive an abundance of valuable information while being surrounded by a supportive community for a fun weekend. What’s not to love?

In a recent episode of Roofing Road Trips, Heidi J. Ellsworth invites a panel of knowledgeable legal experts in the roofing industry to share what makes this weekend so valuable. Allison LaValley and Anne Schroeder from the NRCA are happy to celebrate this being the first in-person conference in two years. Trent Cotney, from Adams and Reese, urges listeners to go so they can keep their business safe and up to date on current industry legal practices. Rod Petrick, president of Ridgewood Roofing Company, recognizes the conference as a valuable investment for all companies in roofing. George Petrick is ready to make new friends and network in person again post-COVID. All panelists have only positive things to say about the legal conference. It is clearly one of the best networking events of the year.

The conference took place from October 27-29, 2022, in Austin, Texas. It was a jam-packed weekend full of presentations, networking opportunities and leisure time. “Yes, it is educational. Yes, you get a ton of great resources and access to legal [information] and other [talented people] that you can talk to,” says Trent. “But the key thing is, it is presented in a way where it's fun.”

It’s hard to escape the excellent company that surrounds you at this event. Allison shares that “if you are a first-time attendee, we connect you with a seasoned attendee… don’t think that you’re going to walk in alone and not have a friend.” There was even a cocktail reception at the end of the first day!

If you missed the 2022 conference, you’ll have another opportunity to experience this exciting networking event next year. Don’t hesitate to sign up when registration opens! It will be well worth it.
