Network, Learn and Compete at the Western Roofing Expo!

Mark your calendars and get ready for the 2023 Western Roofing Expo because it’s just around the corner. 

It’s coming up soon! Slated for September 23-25, 2023 at the Paris Las Vegas hotel, this year's Western Roofing Expo marks the 49th time the Western States Roofing Contractors Association (WSRCA) has organized the event. That’s why in this Roofing Road Trips episode, Heidi J. Ellsworth is joined by WSRCA Executive Director Joel Viera and Director of Membership & Trade Show Alec Ward to talk about all the details for this year’s coming show.  

The expo promises an enriching experience with 26 educational seminars covering a multitude of topics including technical know-how, legal insights, safety protocols and business strategies. Outside of the classroom, the event offers a vibrant atmosphere for networking and engagement, connecting attendees with exhibitors and industry experts. 

There’s entertainment too, the Roofing Games will allow professionals to showcase their skills in friendly competition, while Roofers Feud offers a trivia-based challenge to test knowledge about roofing history, materials and more. Alec added insight into the diverse offerings saying, "The Roofing Games...brings some of the fastest shinglers...to compete against one another...if there's anyone out there that wants to try their hand at this just reach out to us directly." 

But the Western Roofing Expo isn't just about learning and competition, it's a place where the industry comes together for good causes. The Davis Foundation will host fundraising events like a golf tournament and live auction, with proceeds supporting scholarships for roofing industry professionals and their families. "It's a great opportunity to network and just have fun. Sometimes you just need to go out and meet people and just do what you enjoy," Joel says.
