MetalForming unveils latest technologies at METALCON 2023

Metlaforming Latest Technologies at METALCON 2023

A representative from MetalForming LLC stopped by the MetalCoffeeShop® sound stage to share show highlights and to recap the unveiling of their latest machinery!

At the METALCON 2023 show in Las Vegas, Nevada, Chad Rowe of MetalForming stopped by the MetalCoffeeShop booth to discuss the tradeshow and to celebrate the unveiling of their new MustC Machine!

With nearly 24 years with the MetalForming brand, Chad has seen a great deal of innovative technologies enter the market. Dedicated to pushing the industry forward, the company was excited to reveal their latest project. “It's been a work in progress over the last five years, we really wanted to find a solution for coil processing that met the customer needs,” Chad explained. In planning for this machine’s design, they wanted to focus on giving customers a piece of equipment that is going to maximize their efficiency and accuracy.

“A very specific thing we wanted to add was a three-position rotating film application,” he shared. He continued, “Most other systems only utilize a single roll, and when it’s time to change it out, it takes a good bit of time. And as we know, time is money. So, our answer to finding a solution to cutting back on that time was to introduce a mechanism that allows for users to seamlessly switch between three rolls rather than one.”

Earlier that morning, attendees could see the machine in action on the tradeshow floor for the first time. He noted, “Its a great-looking machine, people have been very intrigued by the size, design and robust nature of the system. And it’s easy to see, it was designed to be a work horse.”

Safety was another big priority in its design, so they chose to include a viewing window into the machine that’s clear glass, that way there’s no need for operators to open covers to peek inside and possibly get hurt.

MetalForming plans to continue assessing and addressing the needs of their customers with more innovative solutions in the future. Chad shared, “It’s been a pleasure to create and to keep pushing the industry forward.”
