Red Ventures is a corporation made up of a variety of digital companies. The company recently invested in expanding and reviving their campus in Fort Mill, South Carolina, and wanted their new roofs to make an aesthetic statement with their shape and color.
Choate Construction and Overcash & Demmitt Architects designed and built the extensive structures, including the newest building referred to as Red Ventures 4. This 310,000 square foot addition incorporates office space, a fitness center and The Curve – a learning development center for trainings, meetings and events.
The Curve’s unique aesthetic can be attributed to its aluminum roof panels that were supplied by Bemo USA and custom-formed into multiple wave-like shapes that cascade over one another. The owners of Red Ventures had a corporate design that required tapered panels, which were then serpentine-curved. Bemo designed the non-curved shapes using a continuous-length, single-pass tapering mill and then each panel was individually curved in both directions through a specialized tapered curving mill.
These panels are further striking due to its Cardinal Red, Fluropon® coating, which was supplied by Sherwin-Williams Coil Coatings. Red is the corporate color of Red Ventures, and the owner wanted the roofing application to be a corporate statement – in both shape and color.
