By Cass Jacoby, RCS Reporter.

Join Heidi J. Ellsworth and Jennifer Ford-Smith in a discussion about the importance of ongoing training.

RoofersCoffeeShop® has made it easier than ever for members of the roofing and construction industries to learn how they want, when they want, where they want with their Read, Listen, Watch (RLW) initiative. Whether you want to read a transcript, listen to a podcast or watch a webinar, the Coffee Shop has made it possible for you to learn your way.

In an upcoming RLW, Heidi J. Ellsworth of RoofersCoffeeShop sits down with Jennifer Ford-Smith from Johns Manville to talk about the importance of ongoing training. This RLW will focus on how the roofing industry can successfully attract the next generation through continuing education, certification and professionalism.

Jennifer speaks on how the development of programs like TRAC and ProCertification from the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) have changed the industry. She also gives testimony to how Johns Manville, as one of the first manufacturers to provide ongoing certification services for their contractors, has continued to focus on training over the years and the benefits they are seeing.

Heidi and Jennifer discuss how roofing contractors can work with their manufacturers to get more training and certification, and how to build stronger relationships with manufacturers to really take advantage of these new programs and initiatives.

Both women have been highly involved in industry associations throughout their careers working together on National Women in RoofingRoofing Alliance and NRCA committees. During the RLW, they will discuss the role of these organizations in developing new training and developing employees, in addition to how training and diversity initiatives tie together.

Join Jennifer and Heidi on August 4, 2021 at 11 a.m. PT to learn about training opportunities, training as recruitment and more.

Register now for this RLW which will discuss the importance of ongoing training and how to implement more training in your company to attract and retain top talent.
