Kent Gardner - SRS Does it Again – IRE 2023

What to expect at IRE 2023. 

In Season 5, Episode 9 of Roofing Road Trip, Heidi J. Ellsworth discusses with  SRS President of Building Products Kent Gardner, about the 2023 International Roofing Expo (IRE) and the incredible things they have planned. 

Kent has been with SRS for a little over a year but has been in the industry for over twenty years. For this podcast, he and Heidi discuss what SRS will be doing at IRE, one of the biggest conventions of the year in the roofing industry. Kent says, “This year's going to be the biggest and the best.” He continues, “It's going to be big; it's going to be bold, and it's going to be the best-ever for sure. We've got three separate booths. We've got our daily parking lot XTV tailgate parties that go on throughout the entire event. We've got a huge concert at Gilley's that includes remarks from President Bush, performances by Ray Wiley Hubbard, Darius Rucker, and then even Eric Church is going to be out there.”  

But that isn’t all. They have more booths committed to innovation and pursuing what’s best for the customer to assure their success. “One is dedicated to innovation. There's another one dedicated to the American Dream that really ties into some of the things we do outside of roofing in support of our contractors, whether it's the Las Vegas bowl that we support in Las Vegas for the Bowl Season with college football, Texas A&M University. ,” Kent shares.  

The Para Latinos booth will be making a grand appearance this year. Kent relays, “That Para Latinos booth, it is probably going to be wall-to-wall, shoulder to shoulder because we are putting the energy and effort into it that we didn't realize was going to be required until last year when we had that booth.”  

In addition to having a strong presence at IRE, Kent believes that 2023 will be greatly different than years past due to the company and their strengths being aligned with supporting their contractor base. He shares, “You name it, wherever you are, our business is uniquely supported to support your business in 2023, especially with material availability becoming more prevalent in the new year.”
