Kelly B. Van Winkle has served on the Executive Committee of the NRCA as vice president of the association, was on the board of directors, and currently contributes to other NRCA committees in various capacities. She entered the family business, beginning the third generation of her family in commercial construction and was named president/CEO of King of Texas Roofing Company in 2013.
Recently, Kelly was accepted into the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). To be a member of YPO, you must be under 45 and working as a president, CEO, chairman of the board, managing director, managing partner, or equivalent title. This prestigious organization offers global peer-to-peer learning and networking, and is full of members looking to engage with their communities and become better leaders.
With over 29,000 members in over 130 countries, Kelly joins a vast community of young professionals seeking to grow.
“I am honored to be included in this group of sophisticated professionals whose expertise is so vast,” Van Winkle told Meta Team. “Members are showing me how to look at business issues in a new, intriguing way.”
Already, Van Winkle has taken opportunities afforded by her membership and joined several professional groups in the organization.
“I participate in the Construction Industry group and the Real Estate Network,” she adds. “However, I have especially enjoyed my recent involvement with the Global Family Business Network, where I have had the opportunity to connect with other family business owners in Corsica, France, as well as in India and Asia.”
