IRE is Right Around the Corner!

Meggan Spehar discusses all of the exciting events at the upcoming International Roofing Expo in 2022! 

Senior Marketing Manager Meggan Spehar from Informa and the International Roofing Expo recently sat down with Heidi J. Ellsworth in Season 3, Episode 66 of Roofing Road Trips. Meggan discusses the upcoming expo and gives us a sneak peek inside the biggest trade event for the roofing industry. The expo will take place February 1-3, 2022, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. 

“We have a full event planned for IRE 2022, which is going to include over 60 educational sessions,” said Meggan. “We'll have a full, robust expo hall that's got hundreds of the top suppliers in manufacturers showing their latest products and services.”  

Along with several networking events, there will also be NRCA events and the National Women In Roofing Day which takes place a few days prior to the expo. “Sunday, January 30, National Women In Roofing is going to be holding their fifth annual NWIR day,” said Meggan. She adds, “The registration for that event is actually through the National Women in Roofing's website this year. So, we just wanted to call attention to that, so people were aware that when they go through the IRE registration, for that event you'll have to pop over to their website and register for that one.” 

IRE will be holding their First-Time Attendees Reception, sponsored by RoofersCoffeeShop®, on Tuesday, February 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. After that is the Welcome Party which will take place at Mardi Gras World. “If you're not familiar with what Mardi Gras World is, it's the famous place where all the floats for Mardi Gras are constructed,” Meggan said. “Hopefully we'll get to see all the floats being built.” 

Although there are no mask, negative COVID test or vaccination mandates for attending, IRE will still be following any state and local guidelines that are put in place.
