Andrew Whitehurst has been protecting storm-damaged structures with Stormseal since 2019. The third-generation owner of Pegasus Roofing was researching for a better alternative to tarps when he found Stormseal, stating, “I saw Stormseal on a damaged roof after the 2018 hailstorm. There was a tarp on the roof next door. The tarp blew off; Stormseal stayed put. I was impressed. I did the installer training and business took off.” Andrew continues:
Adding Stormseal to their arsenal of storm response tools has been great for Pegasus Roofing's reputation shared Andrew. The investment into the training has paid off, increasing his revenue by 33 percent over the last year. He said he plans to train more installers as his business continues to grow.
With big storms happening more often, the demand for Stormseal keeps growing. “We’ve had to contract an additional crew of four to keep up,” says Andrew.
Andrew loves Stormseal because it means fewer call backs and less property damage. Even the most expensive tarps slip and collapse, letting rain in. “People always blame the roofer for failing tarps: they reckon you haven’t put them on properly. But it’s just impossible to attach tarps securely, no matter how tight you make the ropes or how many sandbags you use,” says Andrew. “With Stormseal, we can heat and shrink-wrap it to fit pretty much any shape.”
Andrew explains that when he covers someone's home with Stormseal, they feel much more protected and comfortable. Stormseal is quiet and totally weatherproof, so homeowners and contractors alike don’t have to spend any more sleepless nights worrying about leaks.
“Residents love our work with Stormseal so, more often than not, they get us to quote for their permanent roof repairs too, once their insurance claim is paid,” Andrew shares. “We get more leads and win more jobs because we’ve earned their trust, and they recommend us to others. I’d always prefer to use Stormseal than tarps, because I can take pride in my work and we get more work as a result.”
