Everything You Need to Know About IRE 2022

IRE Podcast with Meggan Spehar
December 8, 2021 at 3:00 p.m.

By Colin Sheehan, RCS Reporter.

Meggan Spehar talks us through the nitty-gritty of registration, in-person events and health and safety protocols at the upcoming IRE. Are you ready?

In a recent Roofing Road Trips podcast, Meggan Spehar was delighted to announce that quite a few in-person events will be making a comeback for this year's International Roofing Expo (IRE). These include the keynote session, the community service day project, National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) events and more!

Along with live demos, product clinics and showcases happening on the floor, IRE will also have must-see outdoor exhibits like the SRS Distribution tailgate and concert, networking parties and the first-time attendee's reception which is once again sponsored by RoofersCoffeeShop®.

“We are having some of our most popular sessions return, but we do have some new ones coming up as well,” said Meggan. “In regards to solar, we have someone from Tesla coming in and speaking and last year we introduced the new windows and sidings education as part of the show. So, on the show floor you'll see a windows and siding education theater, as well as the exhibitor presented seminar theater.”

With a total of over 60 sessions and a full, robust expo hall with hundreds of the top industry suppliers and manufacturers showcasing their latest products and services, IRE 2022 will be a can’t-miss event.

“Our networking events are going to be there [and] the welcome party as well as the NRCA events and National Women In Roofing Day,” said Meggan. “I’m so excited. It's going to be such a full event.”

Like IRE 2021, the conference and expo will follow all state and local regulations with regards to COVID-19 for this year’s event. Currently, New Orleans does not require masks, proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test to attend events, but be sure to check the IRE health and safety page for up-to-date information if conditions change. IRE will also be continuing contactless registration and attendees can choose between a physical or digital badge.

“Just like we did last year, we'll continue to update everyone should any of this information change between now and the show,” said Meggan. “We also have the informal, all secure policies and guidelines [in place] that we will follow for the show.”

Listen to this podcast to hear everything you need to know before you step foot in New Orleans and subscribe to the RCS YouTube Channel to see LIVE interviews and LIVE Coffee Conversations which will take place again at IRE!
