Ted Hayes was surprised with a new roof on his home in Powder Springs, Georgia. “Hayes served 10 years in the Army as a telecommunications specialist,” FOX5 Atlanta reported. And he was in need of a new roof.
A year ago, the original roof was damaged in a storm. “...Repairs would not be fully covered by insurance,” according to FOX5 Atlanta’s reporting. Tammy, Ted’s wife, shared with CBS46, “It was a storm that came through and caused the damage. And for some reason it’s just been a battle to get it fixed, with the insurance company. They wanted to do half the roof. Who does half a roof?”
Without the help of the insurance company, volunteers took action. Veteran owned company Dreamworks Restoration Contractors knew this repair needed to be taken care of. Part of their company culture, besides customer service, is establishing a personal relationship with their clients so they are left with a lasting memory. Also helping to create that memory was Beacon Roofing Supply and CertainTeed. They offered their services and assisted Dreamworks Restoration with the roof installation.
Beacon Roofing Supply has been a roofing materials distributor for over 90 years. Founded in 1928, they supply residential and commercial roofing materials, as well as complementary building products. With over 500 branches, they can be found all across the United States and in six of the ten Canadian provinces.
CertainTeed began as General Roofing Manufacturing Company in 1904. Their slogan, “Quality Made Certain, Satisfaction Guaranteed,” became the company's new name of CertainTeed. They have developed innovative and sustainable building products for over 110 years. With over 60 manufacturing facilities throughout the U.S. and Canada, they are a leading brand for both exterior and interior building products in North America.
Thanks to the generosity of these three companies, the Hayes’ can now enjoy a fully finished roof, not just half of one.
