To start, the Club’s administration reached out to longtime community partner Charles Antis. Charles is the CEO and founder of Antis Roofing and Waterproofing, who has supported numerous nonprofits with roofing issues and works closely with the Boys and Girls club in their Garden Grove location to provide mentorship and repairs without charge.
Charles decided to contact the CEO of IB Roof Systems, Jason Stanely to help. “When the organization contacted me about the club’s hardship,” Charles said, “I immediately called IB Roof Systems because I know they feel like me when it comes to giving and keeping kids and families safe,”
Seeing this crucial need, IB Roof Systems donated all needed materials to install a new PVC membrane roof system and local donors underwrote labor costs.
“Knowing The Club is getting the same top warranted PVC roofing system we install in our communities up and down the coast makes me happy!” says Charles.
This marks the second time these two companies have rallied together for a cause. In September 2019, both companies donated a new roof for the Thomas House Family Shelter, giving homeless families with children a roof over their heads.
“During this time of crisis, it is important for us to find a way to help kids stay safe and dry,” said Jason Stanley. “We are here today to do just that! IB Roof Systems is happy to play a part in helping the Boys & Girls Club and hope that we inspire other industry leaders to do the same in the future.”
CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of Laguna Beach, Pam Estes told National Roofing Contractors Association's Professional Roofing magazine “We are so grateful that IB Roof Systems and Antis Roofing and Waterproofing came to the rescue when we really needed it. Given the pandemic, 2020 was an emotionally and financially challenging year. It is reassuring to know there are so many caring people who are stepping up during times of adversity.”
