Adapting to the shifting landscape of sales in the roofing industry

Roofle Grow your e-commerce Sales
January 20, 2024 at 12:00 p.m.

By Dani Sheehan.

Grow your business by increasing your e-commerce sales and converting more online traffic to actual roofing jobs with Roofle.

Don’t get left behind in the changing landscape of sales! In a recent episode of Roofing Road Trips®, Karen Edwards sits down with Mike Goldenstein and Chris Morris from Roofle to talk about the rise of e-commerce and how roofing contractors can incorporate it into their business. Through integrated systems you can increase your company’s reach by making your online presence more successful at converting traffic to sales.

E-commerce is not exactly a new, untapped market and as Karen admits, she buys a lot of products online already. Chris explains that this consumer shift in sales is exactly the gap in the roofing industry that Roofle fills. He says, “Roofle and Roof Quote PRO aren’t necessarily bringing roofers into e-commerce. It’s the consumer demand that is and this is a platform that equips contractors, both large and small, with the ability to harness that customer demand.”

Because of this changing customer demand, even large products are being purchased online, and are even more likely to make the final purchase online. Chris explains, “You've seen Carvana and CarMax and all those folks come in to where they're giving the homeowner or the consumer, in this case, the chance to go do a bunch of discovery. And what we're finding is the folks that do engage, both from an on and offline perspective, are more project ready.”

Mike adds, “It’s all these things that not only is your audience growing because now you're looking at doing business with the 80% of consumers in America who are doing their shopping or at least their information gathering online so that your pool is growing significantly, but your cost per lead is also dropping simultaneously.”

Knowing that consumers are doing all this upfront research, Roofle also works very closely with each contractor utilizing their services so that quotes can be provided to customers in a matter of seconds while also being incredibly accurate based on the contractors’ set pricing. By the time your company is working directly with the customer, they’ve already made their decision and you can quickly close the deal.
