As of late I have been getting a lot of phone calls from people looking for work. I even experienced Roofing contractors coming to the house seeking work . It really has to be bad out there for these guys to come to my house. They are very proud craftsmen. I will sit down on the front porch offer a fresh cup of Ciak Roast . It has to be really serious for this to happen. I am so fortunate to have be able to maintain my current status and do what I do on the insurance side. Any one else out there having similar experiences>>>

Jed Man you picked one hell of a good weekend. As you know it was incredible weather for the beach. Boating was out of the question for my little 20 foot Cobia too much chop. Was going to take the Ensign out " didn't " Know you had a good time. Maybe next time . If I'm in town.>>>

I love the idea we can go anywhere we want. This thread can start a new direction any time it wants. That is one thing I really like about this forum. Lets try something . A character I really like on this forum is Jack- Legg . The challenge for me was to figure out how he was able to speak pirate so fluently. Lets try ...........Yer mateys on ye olde vessel be the same crew with whom ye plunder and pillage about the seven seas. Scour this here den of villainry n' recruit yar dirty sea dogs ye may be acquainted with. There is a translator on Face Book that will apply English Pirate to your text. Pretty cool . Scroll down to the bottom of the page click on translations . Life is important . It just ain't that serious ;) ;) B)>>>

I adjusted the sentence structure . Let me know if that helps . At least you don't have the word Police scrutinizing your spelling . Do I run sentences together ? I'm not sure and will try to communicate on a level. This reminds of when I first started in the roofing business almost 30 years ago. I'm a Yankee , my crews were mostly black at the time . I actually needed an interpreter for the first number of months . I seriously could not understand what they were saying to me . It took awhile , now I meet them and their kids at supply houses it is a hoot talking about Ole times. I need to know what you don't understand to adjust.>>>

You did, that's the sad part. Write the estimate . Get them to sign with you . Wait for the insurance company to set claim . Do the job . That list as we have discussed in other threads is an Alactraty list. You can get on it if you want. It doesn't get you a job . As far as I know it is only good for everyday business and not cats . Sorry about the duce in the trash this can be a nasty business >>>

FNRUFR That is a rhetorical question. I know that Triage has the same model as Service Magic. It is not from the Insurance company's They might suggest they are connected to them " They are not " It is a highly sales oriented business . From what I can tell thus far from the comments , not a very ethical one but a very effective one. When was the last time you let another roofing contractor or re modeler steal signed contracts from you ? What I can tell right now that is what is happening . This is all alleged do to more research.>>>

quote/]twill59 Said: Middleman or whatever, what Triage is looking for, is for the local contractor, to be their sub-contractor.

Bizarre-roonie, aint it? if you want to work, pick up the phone, call a 1-800 # and ask the boss, or the office girl maybe, if they have any work for ya.

(Dont bother asking him anything about roofing tho )

Kind of like how the local Verizon repairmen do it. They have some sort of pad in their truck that allows them to get in touch w/ the Service Dept. in GA or FL. They get one job done, contact Service Dept. for another and go.

Only dif is that they are employees. They have benefits. They have a company truck etc. etc. What does Triage offer that is an improvement? Work??? :P, It would appear at best a temporary service. Making claims that fully ingrandise the temporary services offered in a perhaps not so honest way . Just an observation at this point. It appears from the outside it is another type of day labor type business>>>

CIAK Said: JET I now know why you say the things you do and have this visceral bile dribbling out of the corner of your mouth with the very mention of Insurance Companys . Im going to take a risk here and make an assumption. Oh here it comes............ With your Florida State Licences being registered ( if that is the right verbiage ) Ill leave it up to the word police , in 2002 and your proclamations of having been a major roofing contractor for i dunno 26 yrs in Florida hmmmm. I only bring this up for a reason. Not that I really care if you have been CCC for 7 or 27 yrs. I dont. What I do question and the reason for the comments on the CCC is when did you have time to be trained as a company adjuster ????? ;) The worst adjuster is the rookie . BIG MISTAKE! who lack the fundamental information and adjusting skills to keep it a level playing field .

Whew , I guess I keep inableing with the light of truth. I have done a little investigation on the triage I heard in conversation. It was concerning inside adjusters and outside adjusters. Nothing at all to do with Triage Management Srevices. I will put this through the neseccary levels to get to the truth about this. As presented sounds predatorial . I dont know if i would go so far as to say Illeagle . Ill investigate it more closely.

Seven years in Florida.......23 years in the industry, 15 states had authorized dealers for us and they each paid over $15K for the priviledge. Liberty Mutual insurance adjuster school(6 wks) was right out of college, 1974, four years before that, the Army. And your comment about "rookie" adjusters.....what a joke. I guess you're not even smart enough to know that insurance companies don't want old dogs with bad habits, casual attitudes and WAY too many "contacts" in the industry to "conspire" with. Your boy got you the job......be honest. You don't have the balls to even post up your Florida license number Chucky......that's IF you ever really had one at all. I KNOW you don't have a college degree because you could never pass basic English 101, btw, is English your first or second language?

Let's stop making this personal because it's getting boring. Stick to the facts and don't post if #1. you don't learn to spell first (ie. Illeagle - WTF is that, a sick bird? and #2. if you don't know the answer (which is 100% of the time). For the crowd here I've got an insurance case customer right now. Turned in his wind storm roofing claim over two weeks ago and STILL no adjuster has been to his home. He calls me every few days to ask what to do. I would give him Chucky's digits but he'd prolly try to get him to come down to church or somethin'. It's a classic case.......the old insurance run-around. Wear 'em out 'til they give in to ANY settlement amount, then either raise their premiums or cancel the policy altogether. The insurance industry are a bunch of criminals, pure and simple and anyone who works for them is the same IMO.

I'm not saying I know every thing . What I am learning from you guys is I haven't been on the end of the equation where as minn has been posting about losing jobs with signed contract being told nonsense in front of customers . I have my idea on how I would handle it but that is me. I'm still looking into the triage management business .>>>
