Win the race to the roofing sale with technology

Roofsnap Win the race to the roofing sale with technology
July 18, 2024 at 9:00 a.m.

By Emma Peterson.

Leverage technology to improve your entire sales process, from lead to close.

In this Roofing Road Trips® episode, Heidi J. Ellsworth hosts Ryan Eves and Jim Mallers to talk about how integrating technology into small and midsized businesses can be key to winning the sales race. Jim is the vice president of business development at EverConnect and Socius Marketing. Ryan is the product lead at RoofSnap and has over 15 years of experience in product management design. All three companies, RoofSnap, EverConnect and Socius are subsidiaries of EverCommerce, a leading tech platform offering integrated Software as a Service (SaaS) solution for small and midsize businesses. Jim elaborated, “EverCommerce is a solution portfolio. So, we have about 50 different solutions in our portfolio, with 35 of those solutions dedicated to the home services industry.”

These solutions come in the form of software, often in a tech stack. Ryan explained what this means, “The tech stack is key to the speed element needed to successfully win sales. Not only does it automate a lot of those complex processes, but it also allows you to optimize how quickly you can get to your customers, making sure that you're that first to contact.”

Being the first contacted by a homeowner is a huge advantage, especially in a competitive space like the roofing industry. Jim explained, “The more that you enable your sales team or even your pre-sales team with technology, the quicker they can reach leads and closing deals before the competition.” Further, as this process grows more streamlined, it allows that same team to meet the needs of more customers, improving the entire business’s bottom line. To win in today’s environment, top performing companies outpace competitors by adopting technology that enables a fast and formalized sales process. According to the Harvard Business Review, “Companies create 28% higher revenue growth with highly developed sales processes.”
