Western Colloid General Manager Awarded Prestigious Martin A. Davis Award by RCMA

The Martin A. Davis Award is the highest honor bestowed upon an individual by the RCMA.

Los Angeles, California (March 24, 2017) – Western Colloid, a leading manufacturer of fluid-applied roofing, reflective coating systems and premium asphalt sealcoats, today announced that its General Manager, Greg Hlavaty, was awarded the prestigious Martin A. Davis Leadership Award by the Roof Coatings Manufacturer Association (RCMA).

The Martin A. Davis Award is the highest honor bestowed by the RCMA and is presented each year to an individual who “has exemplified outstanding service and made significant contributions to the roof coatings industry.”  The winner is selected by his or her fellow RCMA members.

“It is such an honor to be chosen by my fellow RCMA members to receive the Martin A. Davis Award,” said Hlavaty. “I extend my gratitude and appreciation to the RCMA and my peers within the organization.”

The award was presented to Hlavaty by RCMA board member Helene Hardy Pierce, GAF, who noted that Hlavaty’s efforts were a driving force behind the recent merger of the RCMA with the Reflective Roof Coatings Institute (RRCI). “Throughout Greg’s time with the RCMA, he has been a passionate advocate for the Association’s growth and development, and his efforts on behalf of the RCMA/RRCI merger have strengthened the outlook for our industry,” Pierce said.

Hlavaty has been an active member of the RCMA serving as a board member and officer, in the position of Vice President, and also lending his industry expertise to various committees and task forces throughout his years of service to the organization.
