In a heartwarming conclusion to Weatherproofing Technologies Incorporated (WTI)’s “Warm Up With a New Jacket” giveaway that ran throughout November and December 2023, Ricky from Minnesota is the proud winner of a heated jacket! But that’s not the only reason Ricky is feeling warm this winter – in the true spirit of generosity, WTI has also donated $250 to Coats for Kids in his name, further emphasizing the roofing industry’s commitment to giving back to the community.
Ricky’s joy at winning was palpable. In an email, he wrote, “We all know what roofers do in their spare time in the winter months – they lose sleep over the roofs that we’ve done and hope the ones that were given to you will be there in the spring. I’ve been roofing going on 44 years this spring. Thank you all very much for the coat.” WTI couldn’t be happier to see the prize go to someone who appreciated both the comfort of the jacket and the charitable aspect of the campaign.
WTI’s donation in Ricky’s name to Coats for Kids will go a long way in ensuring that at-risk children stay warm during the winter months. Coats for Kids is an organization dedicated to providing new winter coats to children in need. Winter can be an especially challenging season for families facing financial hardships, and the organization steps in to make a difference. By supplying new winter coats, the program ensures that children stay warm, healthy and able to attend school despite the harsh winter.
The roofing industry is not just about protecting structures and the built environment; it’s about nurturing communities and spreading warmth in every sense of the word.
