In a Roofing Road Trips podcast, Heidi J. Ellsworth sits down virtually with CEO of Leap Patrick Fingles to talk about how technology is changing in-home sales and the ever-growing demand for refining sales processes utilizing technology.
Patrick started his career in sales 23 years ago. He is the co-owner and CEO of Nu Look Home Design and also co-founded Leap in 2016. Leap is leading the industry in in-home sales technology that spans the selling process from end to end.
“There's a difference between delivering a remote estimate and selling remotely," says Patrick. “I think it's really important for us not to sacrifice communication between the customer and simply just eliminate the on-site visit. You have to replicate the on-site visit in a virtual setting so I think it starts with a healthy tech stack.”
Patrick speaks on using the digital software not just as a tool, but as a sales pitch in and of itself. “When people are coming to your website and they're exploring your website versus the competition's website and we're like, ‘Hey, we use this digital selling software to make sure that your credit card information is safe, to make sure that every one of our estimates is accurate, and to make sure that our contracts are clearly written in clear communication and no details are left out.’ That's what people want to make their buying decisions on.”
Patrick and Heidi stress that technology is ultimately a sales and marketing tool. “If you don't use it in your marketing, you're missing half the equation,” says Patrick.
