United Asphalts, a leading manufacturer in asphalt products since 1961, has recently announced an exciting new product at the beginning of 2020. ENDURAflex HT SEBS polymer-modified asphalt is designed to stand up to the most extreme conditions and delivers robust performance among built-up roof systems.
United Asphalts made their new product announcement in a short video. The quick-to-watch, 49-second video shares the company’s excitement about launching their newest product along with a few of the reasons behind their decision to create the product in the first place.
“With the ever-increasing demand for roofing systems that can withstand the most extreme weather conditions ENDURAflex raises the bar for built up roofs.” The video explains further about the specific properties that allow ENDURAflex a spot in United Asphalts line of innovative asphalt roofing products.
In short, ENDURAflex SEBS modified asphalt provides the waterproofing and weatherability of traditional asphalt with additional benefits like increased tensile strength, resistance to UV degradation and elastic elongation and recovery. The high tensile elongation allows movement without breakage while never compromising the integrity of the product’s high-quality adhesive properties. ENDURAflex SEBS offers an elevated BUR system.
The increasingly strict specifications desired by architects and other specifiers has also created a need for products like ENDURAflex to meet these stringent requirements. For buildings such as schools and government facilities, this is especially the case, and these stricter specification requirements can be met with ENDURAflex SEBS. SEBS technology has proven performance in extreme weather and ENDURAflex meets or exceeds all ASTM standards.
Another key benefit of SEBS technology is that because of the thermal stability of the product, no new equipment is needed by the contract, as standard kettles are used.
This product is also ideal for vegetative and inverted roof systems, another growing trend in the environmentally friendly building applications.
