There Were Many Hot Topics Last Year in Roofing with Cell Phones, Training and Immigration Topping the RCS Influencer List

RCS Top 10
March 30, 2019 at 5:39 a.m.

By Karen L. Edwards, RCS Editor.

These were the most-read RCS Influencer topics from last year's group of Influencers.

RCS announced its 2019 slate of roofing industry Influencers last month at the International Roofing Expo in Nashville, Tennessee. Entering its third year, the Influencers contribute thoughts and wisdom monthly through interviews, videos and blogs on RoofersCoffeeShop® concerning pertinent industry and roofing topics.
We thought it would be fun to take a look back at 2018 Influencer Topics to see what the most popular topics and articles were. Cell phones on the job, immigration and training were the top categories with at least three per topic ranking in the top 10. Here they are in order from #10 down to the #1 post:

#10 – Safety and Training Should be Conversations that Take Place Every Day

#9 – Elite Roofing Supply Uses Technology to Create an Improved Customer Experience

#8 - The Immigration Debate Poses a Real Economic Threat to the Roofing Industry

#7 - RCS Roofing Influencer Charles Antis Discusses Why Training is Important and It’s Not What You Think!

#6 - Our Government Needs to Understand Who our Skilled Workforce is and What Would Happen if They Were Gone

#5 - Creating Diversity Means Engaging with and Educating Local and Regional Demographics

#4 - RoofersCoffeeShop® RCS Influencer Charles Antis says to Work with Employees on Compensation for Personal Phone Use

#3 - Well-trained Employees Make Fewer Mistakes, Minimizing Risk and Optimizing Opportunities

#2 - With Safety in Mind, Cell Phones are Not Allowed on the Roof

#1 - The Hidden Risk: Cell Phone Use on Jobsites

The RCS Influencers represent all facets of the industry including contractors, associations and industry service providers. Each offers a unique perspective on issues that are of importance to the roofing industry. Each month we pose a question to the team and ask them to tell us how they are dealing or managing with different situations.

Meet the team of 2019 RCS Influencers.
