The tool that sets your roofing business apart

Equipter - The tool that sets your roofing business apart

Learn how you can boost your sales by using and talking about Equipter.

Every roofing contractor out there knows how hard it can be to stand out in this industry. But the tools of the trade can be a helpful way to show potential customers why your business is unique. Jerel Sensenig, one of Equipter’s sales representatives, visited the sales team over at Underdog Roofing in Nashville, Tennessee to talk about how the Equipter products are not just helpful for your crew on the roof, but also the team in the office.

Equipter’s products are designed to help roofers keep jobsites cleaner. Their line of self-propelled roofing equipment, from dump containers like the Equipter 4000 to a compact forklift such as the Tow-A-Lift, makes it so that moving materials to and from the roof is easier than ever. Not only does this help when you are bringing supplies up to the roof, it also keeps your jobsite cleaner and reduces the risk of damage to the customer’s property when you remove product and material from the roof.

This is something that should be highlighted in a sales conversation with a potential customer. Jerel explained, “Going into a sale, the homeowner might ask what makes you different from your competition and you can say, ‘Well we have this thing called the Equipter, this is what it does.’” At this point, you want to not only verbally explain how this tool works but show the customer the difference between a jobsite that uses the Equipter and one that does not. Jerel elaborated, “Show them the old-fashioned way of pushing shingle off into the yard, damaging flowers and damaging the property, so they can see how much cleaner your job site looks with your Equipter roof chutes, gutter guard and extension kit.”

Helping homeowners see this difference, the lack of shingles and tarps in the yard of the jobsite, can show them how much you and your team care. Jerel explained, “Show them the way you do it and say, ‘Look we invested a lot of money into this piece of equipment because we care for you as a homeowner, we want to protect your property that's our goal.’”
