We love getting to know our RoofersCoffeeShop® partners, both old and new. It gives us a chance to learn about amazing companies, products and services to further celebrate an already incredible industry. Most recently, we sat down with Matt Clarke, National Sales Manager East, from Progressive Materials to learn more about their company culture and why he loves educating consumers and customers as much as we do.
Progressive Materials was founded in 2010 and manufactures silicone roof coatings and accessories across the country and internationally. Matt started in 2018 and shares, “My day to day is basically to educate consumers and our customers on the benefits of silicone roof systems. I also help come up with solutions to their problems.”
He loves being a part of the Progressive Materials family and has seen it grow significantly in the six years since he started. Problem-solving is one of his favorite parts of the job. “We feed off each other and it’s a really collaborative environment. We strive to be the best coatings company in the country. Progressive Materials empowers their people and their customers.”
When asked how his company stands out among other roof coatings manufacturers, Matt says, it’s easy. “We’re really good,” he starts. “You feel like you are part of the family. People do business with us because they like the team. It’s not just their sales rep, it’s the customer service rep where they go to the plant, and they meet everyone there and everyone’s gracious and great people. It makes the customer experience really special.”
They work to develop lasting relationships with their contractors, providing on-site training meetings and other resources to ensure a contractor has what they need to be successful in the application process.
