Learn how the Roof Hub Estimator is revolutionizing the way contractors manage estimates and bids.

Roof Hub was launched by SRS Distribution four years ago and revolutionized the way roofing contractors and professionals approached project management and business workflow. Today, SRS is still adding and improving upon this, with their latest development being Roof Hub Estimator. In an episode of Roofing Road Trips®, Ashley Garcia and Kevin Carfa, leads on the digital team at SRS, stopped by to talk to Karen Edwards about it.  

Kevin explained that this development, like all of SRS’s work, came out of listening to the contractors in the field. Kevin shared, “We love listening to them, we love talking to them. We love asking them, ‘Hey, how can we help you just become better roofers?’ And that's what we're looking to do with Roof Hub.” What they found was that contractors were frustrated with the estimating process because of its potential for errors and time-consuming nature. So, the Roof Hub Estimator was developed to create a streamlined way for roofers to create professional proposals that will win them bids. It does this all with efficiency in mind, as Ashley explained, “We understand our contractors are on the go and they're often out of the office, so we created a very easy experience that allows them to generate an estimate on site. All you have to do is log in and click create new estimate. From there, you're just entering in the basic job information.”

The real cherry on top and time saver? You can preset the Estimator. Through Roof Hub’s templates, contractors can choose materials and products to automatically calculate an estimate so that they don’t have to keep inputting that information over and over. Not only does this allow them to make one estimate faster, it actually enables them to offer the homeowner multiple estimates. Ashley explained, “We have a good, better, best pricing strategy implemented inside of Roof Hub... This gives our customers the ability to offer three tiered packages with different features and benefits that allow the homeowner to pick the option that's going to perfectly suit their budget and needs.” By giving homeowners three options and more control over the process, contractors are more likely to win their bids. Ashley explained, “By presenting options, we're helping our customers shift their homeowner from whether to buy from them, to which option is a perfect fit for them. So this is empowering the homeowner and making them feel more in control of the process.”
