By Sherwin-Williams.

A high school in Texas received a brand-new look with the addition of a career and technical education center to its campus using Sherwin-Williams coatings.

Sherwin-Williams Coil Coatings offers a wide range of possibilities to make projects present a bold pop of color or sleek design. Using innovative color technology, Sherwin-Williams offers limitless design options to customers looking to make a statement with their metal paneling. One example of clients using the bold color offerings is Del Valle High School’s bright new campus addition that utilizes a Fluropon® red color scheme to show off their school’s official colors!

On the Del Valle High School campus, students are working towards their futures, so it’s only appropriate that they study in a building that looks futuristic. The new Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC) on the Texas campus includes a health-science lab, mock courtroom, automotive repair and welding facilities and offers students the option to earn 23 industry-recognized certifications. Pfluger Architects specified metal panels on the exterior of the building that would deliver the desired appearance for the educational building long into the future.

The 64,000-square-foot facility uses a combination of masonry and Petersen Aluminum metal wall panels, connecting its aesthetic to the look of the existing high school, fine arts and athletics buildings. PAC-CLAD Highline S-1 panels were installed around two-thirds of the educational facility in the Fluropon® colors Cardinal Red, custom Tor Red, custom Ron Reed, Bone White and Cityscape from Sherwin-Williams Coil Coatings. Petersen Aluminum also supplied Tite-Loc Plus sanding seam panels for the project. Both the students and building materials have a bright future at CTEC.
