Technology Should Be in Your Growth Plan

Mike Pickel Growing Your Business
December 24, 2020 at 3:12 p.m.

RCS Influencer Mike Pickel says that technology and community support can help your business achieve growth in 2021.

At Texas Traditions Roofing, our goal for growth includes using technology more in our business and even more so in our marketing. We are starting with our website, making improvements that will feature and highlight more of the areas where we want to grow our business.

We also plan to use technology to educate our customers and increase the number of visitors to our website. We’ve revamped our Google AdWords strategy, working with a new SEO partner that is allowing us to really maximize our spend for online advertising.

In 2021, we will launch a YouTube program that will allow us to share information about important matters related to roofing – both residential and commercial. With the growth and popularity in YouTube videos, more people are turning to them to find the information, answers and how-to’s that they need. We plan to be part of the conversation to answer questions and provide education.

Community involvement is another way that we plan to grow in 2021. We hired a full-time marketing coordinator this year who will help lead our growth into the next year. She has been actively working on our community relations, developing partnerships with the local youth soccer program as well as a local charity that provides opportunities for adults with special needs.

We support our community because it is the right thing to do, but it also demonstrates to our potential customers that we really care about this community because we live here too.

As you think about your growth plan for 2021, take a step back and start with the simpler things that could benefit from an overhaul, like your website and its content. Then look for opportunities that can help you create and continue to have a dialog with your potential and existing customers – whether that be in the community or online.

Mike Pickel is co-founder of Texas Traditions Roofing. See his full bio here.
