In their recent video released on May 30th, Essential Craftsman went through the process of shingle product delivery and installation. The popular and influential YouTube channel featured TAMKO’s Heritage shingles, a premium product provided at no cost to Essential Craftsman by TAMKO Building Products.
Essential Craftsman is a YouTube channel run by Scott Wadsworth and his son Nate. Their videos include informational, step-by-step tutorials about blacksmithing, construction, safety and a variety of other trades and crafts. They cover a span of topics to further their goal of expanding public knowledge on craftsmanship. They believe in the empowerment of the individual and want to provide every person with the skills and information they need to be successful in personal or professional projects.
In their recent episode, titled “Installing Asphalt Shingles Ep. 77,” Essential Craftsman focused on some of the many processes that encompass roofing. Utilizing their spec house project, Wadsworth partnered with Roseburg Roofing owned by Mike Morris and his son Brad to perform the installation.
Morris has a wealth of experience with TAMKO products and was able to explain to Wadsworth the value of premium TAMKO shingles as well as some of their characteristics, including their shingles’ limited lifetime warranty, “They’re heavy, they've got lots of glue, they’re rated to last,” Wadsworth explained, “They are pretty much as good as you can buy.”
TAMKO provided Heritage Premium Shingles as well as Designer Hip & Ridge for the project at no cost to the Essential Craftsman. “TAMKO stepped up,” said Wadsworth who expressed his gratefulness to the company for helping him continue his goal of empowering channel viewers with informational and hands-on skills. “Making a video series like this is expensive,” Wadsworth remarked, “I don’t think we could pull it off if it wasn’t for companies like TAMKO Building Products stepping forward [and] sticking out a helping hand [by] sending a top-quality product to be installed on our project. It means a lot. Thank you TAMKO, two thumbs up!”
After this episode, Essential Craftsman is planning on having two more episodes in the near future that will feature TAMKO shingles and other products. Those videos are set to be released over the next several weeks.
