Each shingle has its place on a roof, and each roof has its story – tell its story to the QARC Awards.

By Malarkey Roofing Products.

Already this year, Malarkey Roofing Products has featured many great roofing projects that demonstrate #roofingexcellence. From geodesic domes to beachfront hotels, it’s great to see Malarkey shingles installed on interesting projects and properties.

As a member of the Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association (ARMA), a trade association representing North America’s asphalt roofing manufacturing companies and suppliers, Malarkey Roofing Products invites contractors to share their stories, and submit their best Malarkey roofs to the annual Quality Asphalt Roofing Case Study (QARC) awards. The QARC program, according to ARMA, aims to recognize industry professionals who use asphaltic roofing by documenting successful projects that illustrate the benefits of asphalt roofing systems.

Each year, the contest awards three winners. The winners will be featured in a special ARMA publication, and have their stories told in national trade media. There are also financial incentives as well: $2,000 for first place, $1,000 for second, and $500 for third.

How to Apply Through a link on the ARMA website, contractors can easily apply. Most importantly, contractors should share why asphaltic shingles products were the best choice for the project. Necessary details include the job size, location, and roofing professionals involved. The case study submissions are open to contractors, specifiers, engineers, architects, and roof consultants.

How to Be Competitive In addition to having a well-installed system on the roof, taking clean, high resolution images are key to showing off how well to completed project looks. It is also key to highlight the aspects of asphaltic roofing that influenced the selection for the project. These can aspects can include: reliable performance, availability, limited maintenance, and overall value. For instance, our Legacy® laminated architectural shingles were featured on the blog this year for their flexibility in wrapping around the bends of a domed roof as well as withstanding severe hail impacts in the Midwest. Customer testimonials or quotes are also immensely valuable for any job well done.

Be sure to submit your project today. The submission deadline is December 31, 2017. There is absolutely no fee to enter. There is no limit to the number of eligible submissions. ARMA welcomes both small residential projects as well as large commercial roofing projects.
