Soaring Temperatures Provide Opportunities to Connect With Customers

Marco Soaring Temperatures and Connecting with Customers

By Marco Industries.

Stay in contact with previous clients and reach prospective customers by sharing helpful information.

The recent heatwaves provide contractors with an opportunity to improve customer outreach and establish their brand as trustworthy and customer-centric. By regularly providing helpful information to customers you can stay relevant and increase the likelihood that they will hire you again or recommend your company to a friend. Marco Industries wants to provide such information to help you build your brand reputation through marketing and outreach. Feel free to simply copy and paste:

Stay-at-home recommendations are keeping more people under one roof for longer periods of time. With record-breaking heat covering many parts of the country, those people are seeing more than just outside temperatures increase, they’re seeing energy costs rise as they fight to stay cool. That’s because your greatest summertime ally, the air conditioner, is also an energy-hungry beast.

According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, air conditioning accounts for 12 percent of your home’s energy costs on average. In some regions, it’s significantly higher. Fortunately, there are some steps you can take to ease your energy costs and take some of the load off your air conditioner. Even in record-breaking heat.

The Metal Roofing Alliance recently released several energy-saving tips homeowners should consider. Here are our choices for the top five:

  • Use curtains or blackout blinds to block afternoon sun rays. Even if your home has energy efficient windows, this extra layer of insulation will help keep heat out.

  • Good airflow is essential for air conditioning units to properly do their job while using as little energy as possible, so replace or clean your system's filters regularly.

  • Beef up your insulation. Many people think insulation is mostly beneficial if you live in a cold weather climate. The truth is, better insulation can also have a major impact on keeping your home cooler much longer in hotter weather.

  • Replace your roof with efficiency in mind: Choosing better roofing material and installation methods adds up to real dollars and cents. Research indicates that homeowners can save up to 40 percent on annual energy costs by selecting the right type of roof and installation practices. Invest in a metal "cool roof," which offers proven energy efficiency performance and delivers high total solar reflectance and high infrared emittance, keeping homes cool and saving energy by re-emitting most of what solar radiation is absorbed. Cool metal roofs help save energy by lowering roof temperatures by as much as 50 percent.

  • Install ceiling fans which, based on industry research, can make a room feel up to 10 degrees cooler while only using 10 percent of the energy of a central air conditioner.

Again, feel free to copy and paste the above and add it to your website, send it to your email list, or break it up into several social media posts. This will help keep your name out in the market so you are top-of-mind when they need roof repairs or are looking for that new metal “cool roof.” It will also help position you as a trustworthy leader in your local market.
