The KnuckleHead Lite Pipe & Heavy Pipe Support system transforms construction projects.

In the ever-evolving world of construction, Green Link, Inc. introduces the KnuckleHead Pipe Supports, a game-changing solution designed to enhance efficiency, durability and versatility on the job site. These innovative supports not only simplify the management of pipes and cables but also promise to withstand the toughest environmental conditions. Discover how KnuckleHead Pipe Supports can be the cornerstone of your next construction project, providing unmatched stability and ease of installation.

Introducing Green Link, Inc.’s KnuckleHead Pipe Supports

Green Link, Inc. provides a solution to address these challenges: the KnuckleHead Lite Pipe & Heavy Pipe Support system. These supports are designed for versatility and durability and offer pipe and cable management solutions.

Carrying capability in outside diameter pipe terms and height adjustability

Lite Pipe KnuckleHead: Capable of supporting two pipes with a (typical) nominal .5” with an OD up to .88” or one (typical) nominal 1” pipe with an OD up to 1.33” or equivalent cable sizes.

Heavy Pipe KnuckleHead: Designed to hold a pipe with a (typical) nominal size of 2.5” with an OD of up to 2.75” or equivalent cable bundles.

KnuckleHead Extensions: If additional height is required, extensions are available at 8, 12 and 18 inches. Extensions are not height-adjustable by rotating the head and must be cut to achieve differing heights.

4 key features of KnuckleHead Pipe Supports

1 - Adjustable design: The KnuckleHeads have an inherent adjustability of one inch by turning the head. This adaptability ensures pipes can be properly aligned and supported, even on irregular surfaces.

2 - Impressive load-bearing capacity: These supports are not to be underestimated, as they can handle substantial loads of up to 600 pounds, making them a reliable choice for your construction projects.

3 - Tough and long-lasting: Made from robust and lightweight glass-reinforced nylon, KnuckleHead supports are weatherproof, UV stable and resistant to freeze-thaw cycles, ensuring longevity in demanding environments.

4 -  Easy installation: The KnuckleHeads are designed for straightforward installation, which not only reduces costs and project timelines but also ensures a hassle-free experience. The Green Link Adhesive/Sealant, with a shear strength of 275 PSI, is specifically designed for use when fastening to fully adhered membranes. The safety yellow KnucklePads, a slip sheet that reduces noise in free-standing applications, further enhances the ease of installation.

For more information, see the KnuckleHead Technical Information data sheet, the KnuckelHead Installation Guide or the Product Literature library.

Guidelines for proper pipe spacing with KnuckleHead Supports

Refer to manufacturer guidelines: Always consult the manufacturer’s guidelines for the specific pipe being installed. They will often provide recommendations for support spacing.

Consider pipe material and diameter: Different materials and pipe diameters may require varying support spacing. Ensure that your KnuckleHead supports are suitable for the pipes in question.

Refer to local building codes for pipe spacing guidelines: Keep in mind that temperature could cause pipe sagging and pipe support spacing may need to be adjusted to avoid this situation. For Steel Pipes, the spacing will likely be 7-10 feet when using Lite Pipe and Heavy Pipe KnuckleHead supports. For PVC pipes spacing from 2-7.5 feet when using Lite and Heavy Pipe KnuckleHeads, please see our technical guide for more information.

KnuckleHeads prove that even the smallest details can make a big difference in the grand scheme of construction. By investing in the right supports and diligently adhering to best practices, you not only save time and money but also ensure the safety and performance of your construction projects for years to come.
