At the 2025 Winter Meeting, the Single Ply Roofing Industry (SPRI) demonstrated its commitment to giving back in a meaningful way by helping families in need. Sponsored by Tyelus Consulting and its CEO, Lynsey Hull, SPRI members assembled hygiene kits to support families domestically and internationally.
“We believe in giving back to the industry and the communities we live in,” said Scott Carpenter, SPRI president. “There are many ways to donate your time and resources, and as a leading industry association, we want to contribute in meaningful ways. Knowing that families in need are receiving these kits makes a difference for all of us.”
The hygiene kits, part of a WASH Foundation program, are essential in providing aid to families affected by natural disasters, both domestically and internationally. Each kit included soap, shampoo, a toothbrush, toothpaste, socks, a loofah and a notecard with a message of encouragement.
“We hope the event was a success and that you had a meaningful experience,” noted the Clean the World (WASH) event coordinators, who partnered with SPRI leadership to organize the initiative. “We are grateful for your contribution to assembling these hygiene kits, as it plays a vital role in our mission to help those in need. Your efforts will positively impact lives, and we truly appreciate your support.”
Clean the World, founded in 2009, addresses global health challenges by repurposing discarded hygiene supplies from the hospitality industry. Aiming to reduce hygiene-related illnesses and deaths, the organization began recycling soap into new bars for distribution to communities in need. In 2015, Clean the World merged with the Global Soap Project to form The WASH Foundation, expanding its mission beyond hygiene to include sustainable access to water, sanitation and feminine hygiene programs.
“Tyelus Consulting is committed to giving back, and this was a fantastic way to do it,” said Lynsey Hull. “SPRI has given me so much over the years, and this group continues to find ways to make a difference. Incorporating a community service activity into the winter meeting brings us together in a unique way — one that is just as valuable as our technical discussions. We are very proud to be the sponsors of this event.”
