Say Goodbye to Flyaway Tarps with Stormseal

Stormseal Goodbye to Flyaway Tarps
January 23, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.

By Lauren White, RCS Reporter.

This winter get accredited to install an innovative product that saves you time, energy, and 10% off their Starter Kit.

Perhaps the cold temperatures, snow, and ice are limiting the projects you and your crew are able to work on.  What better way to pass the slow winter months than attending a training session and get certified to use a product that will save you time, energy, and money?  With storm season just around the corner, now is as good a time as ever to become a certified installer of Stormseal.

Stormseal is an innovative alternative to tarps and is manufactured in the United States.  It is lightweight, waterproof, and can withstand hail storms and winds up to 150 mph.  It even lasted seven months on the roof of a hut 12,700 feet up in the Swiss Alps exposed to a brutal winter of ice crystal attacks and winds of 124 mph.  Made of polyethylene resins that are combined with fire-retardant and ultraviolet-resistant additives, Stormseal is a strong, lightweight film that heat-shrinks to protect and weatherproof damaged structures.

This product is a better alternative to using tarps.  Matthew Lennox, Stormseal founder and managing director explains, “Most of the people getting the training are looking for a better solution...They’re the ones who get the call at 2 a.m. saying that the tarp has failed, and they’re sick and tired of having that happen.  They’re looking for something that’s going to work.”

It only takes one day to become an accredited Stormseal installer with its hands-on training program.  When the training is complete, newly certified installers will receive a login, allowing them to purchase products directly from the Stormseal website.  And for a limited time, those who register for an installer training will receive 10% off their Stormseal Starter Kit, which is more than $500 in savings!

Brian Meyer, from Meyer’s Pride Roofing, said, “[The Stormseal training] was very cool...It’s a very good product.  I’m sure it’s going to be on all kinds of roofs in the near future...I’d like to outfit my truck to have [Stormseal] always on hand.”

The Stormseal Starter Kit is filled with everything you need to get started including: two rolls of Stormseal film, four rolls of Stormseal all-weather tape, a membrane welding gun with welding nozzle, one gas gun with a 20-foot-long high-pressure hose and regulator, one set of three welding jigs, and one tape gun, which all fits inside a custom Weather Guard toolbox.

Becoming an accredited Stormseal installer will help differentiate your roofing business.  Contractors will be able to save time, help more people in need, and make fewer trips to the hardware store to buy tarps.  Matthew says the prior system of assessing the job and driving to a hardware store to purchase a tarp is not a good system.  He continues, “It wastes time, and often the tarp is the wrong size so they end up having to go and get another one. Instead, a roll of Stormseal can sit on the back of the truck at all times, and be cut to size on-site to fit the job.”

Storm season is just around the corner.  Get certified to be a Stormseal applicator and save your company time, money, and trips to the hardware store.  This lightweight film is a safer and superior alternative to tarps. And with 10% off the Stormseal Starter Kit for training sessions before 20 March 2020, your business can get started right away providing homeowners with peace of mind that they’ll be dry and protected from the elements until permanent repairs can be made.

Register to become an accredited Stormseal applicator and say goodbye to failing tarps.

During the 2020 IRE, 6 Roofers will be randomly drawn at the 2020 IRE to receive Safety and Stormseal training (value $995 per person) Register Now
