In business for more than 60 years, T-Rock Roofing in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas has a “right-the-first-time” approach to every project. Managing Partner Taylor Bookman shares why ensuring 100% satisfaction for their residential and business customers oftentimes means recommending composite slate and shake roofing tiles to combat the severe weather extremes roofs are exposed to in the north Texas marketplace.
Q: How has selling composite roofing products helped increase sales for your company?
A: First of all, we’re very keen on selling DaVinci Roofscapes products. The quality of their composite products and warranty have propelled us into the high-end roofing market in the past couple of years. This has given us great opportunities to gain new clients.
Q: Can you go into greater detail? What makes DaVinci products stand out in your mind over competitive composite shake and slate products?
A: For us, it’s a combination of superior durability of product, trustworthiness, product quality, warranty support, and aesthetic appeal that make DaVinci the clear choice over other roofing materials. Here’s how it breaks down:
Q: In a sales presentation, what’s your “secret weapon” for convincing a customer to invest in composite roofing?
A: We encourage them to leave our office and call their homeowners insurance company. Simply ask them how much they’ll save on yearly insurance premiums by investing in a DaVinci roof that’s Class A fire and Class 4 impact rated. That gets them calling us back pretty quickly!
Q: Finally, if you absolutely had to change professions tomorrow, what do you think you’d like to do?
A: I’d be a videographer for a travel channel. I can see myself making videos of the coolest places in the world. I have my private pilots license and would love to fly into remote places and make jaw-dropping videos.
