Norbert Lekienta, president of Relianz Restorations Co. wants to clean up the industry so that it’s a fairer situation for homeowners.

For a property owner experiencing storm damage, Relianz Restorations is the “dream team” to deal with in the Chicagoland area. State-licensed to work with insurance carriers, Norbert Lekienta, president of Relianz Restorations Co., and his team help homeowners with storm-related insurance claims. They even have state-licensed public adjusters on staff to make certain their customers don’t miss out on a penny of the insurance money potentially coming their way.

Treating people fairly and providing roofing options that will last are what this company is all about. Oftentimes that means recommending durable composite shake and slate roofing, like products manufactured by DaVinci Roofscapes.

Q: Your company has been selling DaVinci products for about seven years now. How many DaVinci projects does your company install each year?

A: We install at least one DaVinci roof a week throughout the season. It’s not unusual for us to do 35 to 45 a year because we’re also assisting other companies with their DaVinci installations.

Q: How have DaVinci products specifically helped increase sales for your company?

A: Working with DaVinci allows me to offer my clients superior products with fantastic curb appeal and a great warranty. It’s a good option other than natural cedar shake for my clients, and they want to invest in it.

Q: In your marketplace, how does selling DaVinci give you a business edge over your competitors?

A: Having an upscale product allows us to work in more upscale neighborhoods. Our successful DaVinci installations bring us great referrals and recommendations which leads to more business.

Q: If a client is specifically looking at a lower-end product, how do you successfully upsell them to a composite roof?

A: We start by showing them the portfolio of our DaVinci work. Then we talk about the product specifications — all the features and benefits of the composite roofing. We talk about what they get for the difference in price for the upgrade. Of course, we discuss the Lifetime Limited Material Warranty, which will give them peace of mind. Oftentimes we discuss how the insurance claim can help pay toward the DaVinci product instead of cedar shake so they’ll never go through this type of storm damage hassle again.

Q: Finally, if you had to change professions tomorrow, what would you do?

A: If I was younger, I’d go into law… especially insurance property claim law. I’ve seen what kind of a circus this is in today’s world. I’d like to clean this up so that it’s a fairer situation for homeowners.
