Learn how he’s turned his company into a $15 million business with the help of composite roofing.

Q: How did you start off in the roofing business?

A: My brother-in-law had a roofing company and I started with him. I absolutely loved it. I took that experience to the next level when I began my own company.

Q: About how much of your company’s sales each year involves composite roofing?

A: We’re known for our specialty roofs. With that said, the majority of our roofs are laminated shingles. I would say 20% of our sales each year come from composite roofing.

Q: During the past 15 years your company has stayed with DaVinci composite products. Why not install other competitive composite roofs?

A: DaVinci has never let us down. Most of our gorgeous homes have been built with DaVinci products. We have a lot of storms that roll through Oklahoma during the Spring and Fall. Many times they carry big hail stones with them. There’s not a Class 4 impact resistant material on the market today that brings out what we do best, better than DaVinci. Their products make it so much easier for us to bring beauty to the homeowner. DaVinci is our number one material to use when safety, style and class are of utmost importance.

Q: What’s the top reasons why your sales team can convince people to invest in composite roofing?

A: In Oklahoma there are two main reasons. The first being that the DaVinci product has the authentic look of real slate or shake. This roofing makes the home look absolutely beautiful. The second reason is the amount of hail we get here. Their tiles are virtually indestructible.

Q: When selling DaVinci products to a customer, what are the features and benefits that customer react to best?

A: They love the beauty of the tile. It brings a different taste of class to the home that you can’t find with any other shingle.

Q: Do you have a key selling line that you use on customers to really close the sale on a composite roof?

A: Yes, I do. I tell people to pick their color carefully because they’ll probably never have to replace their roof. That truly gets them thinking about the value of their investment.

Q: From all the projects where your company used DaVinci products, which one is your personal favorite, and why?

A: This question is easy. In 2022 we had the pleasure to re-roof Toby and Trisha Keith’s home. I knew he was sick, and I wanted to make this roof extra special for both of them. We put on a DaVinci Multi-Width Slate custom blend roof with many of our own custom copper designs. I’ll never forget those six weeks over there. We feel honored to have been chosen for that project.

Q: If you could put a new composite roof on any structure in the USA, what would it be… and why that building?

A: I’ve always loved golf, and we’ve had the opportunity to re-roof Gaillardia Country Club and Oak Tree National among others in the Oklahoma City area, which is terrific. My dream structure would be to re-roof the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia, home of the Masters.
