Roofer profile: Alexander Rose – Excel Roofing

When Alex Rose needs a snow retention system, Rocky Mountain Snow Guards is his go-to place.

Since 1993, Excel Roofing has been an intricate part of the Colorado roofing community. Now with locations also in Wyoming, the company has 21 project managers. One of those managers, Alex Rose, serves the Colorado marketplace. Alex really understands roofs and also understands that when it comes to snow retention systems, it’s best to work with the professionals at Rocky Mountain Snow Guards.

Q: Alex, tell us about the geography you install roofing in and what kind of snow retention systems are needed for your customers.
A: We install roofs all over the Denver metro area. The areas we work in get a great deal of snow and we always recommend a snow retention system for these homes. We send photos of the homes and measurements to Rocky Mountain Snow Guards and have them recommend the best system for each individual home.

Q: What type of roofing material do you tend to install most, and what’s your favorite “go-to” snow retention products that you use repeatedly with that material?
A: At Excel Roofing 85% of the roofs we install are asphalt shingles. In most cases, we don’t need a snow retention system unless it’s F-Wave, stone-coated steel, tile or some other slippery surface. When we do need snow retention, we always send our requests to Rocky Mountain Snow Guards. They respond in a timely manner and ensure our clients get the best possible system for their home.

Q: What’s the most challenging/interesting roofing project you’ve ever done where a snow retention system was involved?
A: There was a home with solar panels on the roof, so we definitely needed snow retention. It was tricky because of the positioning of the snow guards. With the help of Rocky Mountain Snow Guards we installed a ColorGard system that protected the solar panels. It came out great!

Q: How often do you use the free architectural snow retention plan from Rocky Mountain Snow Guards when you’re working on a roofing project?
A: We use this service EVERY time we have the need for snow retention on a project. Rocky Mountain Snow Guards ensures we are installing the best option and always has amazing customer service with us and our clients.

Q: What keeps your company coming back to Rocky Mountain Snow Guards for your snow retention needs?
A: The reliability, customer service, quality of product and turnover time on the jobs.
