If you weren’t able to attend the Western States Roofing Contractors Association’s (WSRCA) Western Roofing Expo, no worries! All throughout the show we interviewed roofing industry leaders about their companies and what trends they see for the future. One interview you don’t want to miss is with our President, Heidi J. Ellsworth, who spoke with Barry McConway and Todd Farr from Everroof about their roof coating systems.
In our interview, Barry, president of Everroof, breaks down the history of their company. He shared with us that they have been officially in the market for over 10 years and are a sister company to General Coatings. While General Coatings offers mainly spray foam roofing systems, Everroof focuses more on manufacturing silicone, acrylic and urethane coating systems.
“So they (General Coatings) looked at these products and said this is a standalone offering for the commercial restorative market and that's when the Everroof brand was kind of created,” Barry says. “We're just really looking to bring these 10-year proven products and get them to an audience that I think people will love.”
Todd, regional sales manager for Everroof, discussed how he thinks roof coatings are something many roofing contractors should be offering. “There's a lot of roofers out there that aren't incorporating coatings, and it is a very important tool for the tool belt,” he says. “It doesn't disrupt business when it's being applied, so that's a very important factor for the building owners and the contractors.”
