Dan White, long-time technical expert and valued member of the APOC family, passed away in August 2021 following a hard-fought battle with COVID-19. He is remembered as a loving husband and father, a tireless advocate for the roofing industry and a true friend to many he worked closely with throughout his career. Dan was 67.
A veteran in commercial roofing, Dan joined APOC in 2005 and made an immediate impact on the organization. For Dan and his customers, there was no technical roofing problem that could not be overcome with the application of sound roofing practices and high-quality products. Dan’s wealth of knowledge was the foundation of APOC’s technical capabilities—he was always ready and willing to help customers overcome a challenge and perform quality work.
As a friend and coworker, Dan made a lasting impact on all those he worked with. His colleagues recall Dan’s unflinching honesty and fast friendship. He leaves behind countless relationships that will be valued forever.
“Dan was an incredible ally, mentor, confidant and friend,” said APOC Field Systems Coordinator John Walker. “I learned everything I know about APOC from Dan, and I had the honor of working side by side with him for more than 10 years. He was an amazing person and led an incredible life.”

DW was the definition of integrity. His word was gold, his intentions venerable and his friendship unbreakable. He touched many hearts and we will all miss him dearly.”
Dan lived in Tampa with his beloved wife Allie and son Charlie. In his spare time, Dan was an avid boater, fisherman and collector of vintage firearms, hobbies he cherished sharing with his family and friends.
