Since their founding over 100 years ago, CertainTeed has helped shape the building products industry. The company of over 6,300 employees is dedicated to not only creating high-quality products, but also helping the community that uses them. One way they are doing this is by partnering with Susan G. Komen (SGK)® in October to raise money to “promote breast cancer awareness, drive medical research and provide support to those affected by this disease.”
This year, which is the fourth time CertainTeed has worked with SGK, they announced that from November 1, 2024 to October 31, 2025 a percentage of sales from their co-branded GlasRoc® Sheathing board will go to SGK. Specifically, $0.09 per piece or sheet of the specially marked sheathing (featuring the iconic pink ribbon) sold at sales price will be donated.
Kate Paine, CertainTeed’s VP of corporate marketing and a breast cancer survivor, shared some thoughts on this partnership, saying, “SGK has such an incredible scale and has galvanized millions around the world to fight breast cancer through early detection and prevention, medical research and advocacy. I was so proud to represent our GlasRoc branded partnership, with proceeds from every single board of GlasRoc sheathing sold in the U.S. benefitting this cause. GlasRoc is one of our most popular products, and the scale of our partnership has a wide impact on many lives, giving the gift of life to our daughters, sisters and mothers.”
With a guaranteed minimum donation of $120,00, CertainTeed hopes to help with the prevention of breast cancer and, ultimately, the discovery of its cure.
