NWIR Seattle Chapter Will Host Michelle Boykin

NWIR Michelle Boykin
March 9, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.

By Lauren White, RCS Reporter.

Please note that due to the recent national health advisories and decisions by Washington’s governor,  NWIR has postponed this event until the fall. They will be honoring those tickets already purchased and updating the Eventbrite tickets once the date has been decided on.

Don’t miss this opportunity to network and hear from the COO of Rackley Roofing.

Join fellow roofing professionals at the National Women in Roofing (NWIR) March meeting for the Seattle Chapter.  Mark your calendars for March 21, 2020, and make sure you’re at Mama Stortini’s Restaurant and Bar in Puyallup, Washington from 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.  NWIR will be hosting Michelle Boykin, the Chief Operating Officer and Integrator at Rackley Roofing Company, Inc.

Michelle, also a RoofersCoffeeShop® Influencer, joined Rackley Roofing in 2010 and has been integral in helping with the growth of the company.  She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Middle Tennessee State University.  Michelle is very involved in NWIR and currently serves as Treasurer for the Executive Committee. Rackley Roofing is a Founding and Platinum Sponsor for NWIR.  In addition to her other roles, Michelle is also a member of the Roofing Technology Think Tank, RT3.

At the NWIR March meeting for the Seattle Chapter, Michelle will speak about her experience in the roofing industry and how Rackley Roofing became the Roofing Technology Think Tank’s Innovator of the Year for 2019.

A volunteer-based, national organization, NWIR is dedicated to educating and empowering women in the roofing industry.  Staffed by independent contractors and consultants, NWIR welcomes women and men who support the inclusion of women in the roofing industry.  NWIR strives to bring the roofing industry to a new level of excellence through their support and promotion of women’s contributions to the future of the industry.

Every month the Seattle Chapter holds meetings in the greater King County area.  Meetings are open to both women and men, and focus on creating an environment that encourages growth in mentoring, education, networking, and recruiting, the four pillars of NWIR.  Rae July (rae@chinookroofing.com) is the Council Chair, Brittany Wimbish (brittanyw@fieldsroofservice.com) serves as Secretary, and Monica Parks (Monica.Parks@propelinsurance.com) is the Community Chair for the Seattle Chapter of NWIR.

Don’t miss an afternoon filled with networking, lunch, and hearing from an amazing speaker!

Register now to attend the NWIR March meeting!
