On January 31, NRCA launched the NRCA Grassroots Advocacy Network, a tool that will amplify member voices in Washington, D.C. Adding to NRCA's existing presence on Capitol Hill and the continued work of ROOFPAC, the new NRCA Grassroots Advocacy Network will allow members to quickly convey their views to Congress on key industry priorities. You can check out the NRCA Grassroots Advocacy Network here. By taking action through the new website, NRCA members can more easily communicate their views and concerns to Congress, making the roofing industry's voice louder in Washington, D.C.
Take action—We encourage you to use the "Take action" tool to make your voice heard in support of the Regulatory Accountability Act (RAA). NRCA supports this legislation because it will reduce the burden of excessive regulations on employers by reforming the outdated federal regulatory system. The RAA was recently approved by the House of Representatives, and we are now urging the U.S. Senate to swiftly approve the bill. We ask you to join NRCA in this effort by contacting your senators. Visit the "Take action" tool on the NRCA Grassroots Advocacy Network webpage and participate by sending your senators an email in support of the RAA.
In addition to the "Take action" tool, we encourage you to take a couple of moments to familiarize yourself with the website. NRCA encourages you to visit the following three sections:
Become a key contact—Using this tool, you will be able to inform NRCA of relationships you might already have with legislators. By sharing this information with the D.C. office, you will help us better use our resources and make a positive impact for you in our nation's capital.
Share your story—This tool will allow you to easily share anecdotal stories about how policies coming out of Washington, D.C., either help or hurt your company. Everyday stories are important to us as we advocate for you on Capitol Hill and help members of Congress understand how federal policies are affecting constituents.
ROOFPAC—NRCA's political action committee, ROOFPAC, supports candidates for Congress who support NRCA's policy agenda. A strong ROOFPAC, along with grassroots advocacy and traditional outreach to Capitol Hill, make for a winning strategy. ROOFPAC is winning for you!
NRCA looks forward to working with you as we grow a more robust grassroots organization and amplify the roofing industry's voice in Washington, D.C. If you have any questions or would like to find out more about how you can get involved with NRCA's grassroots effort, please contact Nathan Pick, NRCA's director of advocacy and political affairs, at npick@nrca.net or (202) 400.2591.
