NRCA Encourages Members to Submit Charitable Project for CNA/NRCA Community Involvement Award

NRCA Charitable Project for Community Involvement
October 5, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.

For the eighth year, the National Roofing Contractors Association and CNA have partnered to co-sponsor the 2020 CNA/NRCA Community Involvement Award.

NRCA roofing contractor members are urged to submit any charitable project, activity or donation completed between Jan. 1, 2019, and Dec. 1, 2019, for consideration in the awards program, which shines a light on the roofing industry’s charitable works. The deadline for submissions is Dec. 1.

Winning charities will receive:

  • 1st Place—$7,500
  • 2nd Place—$5,000
  • 3rd Place—$2,500
  • People's Choice—$1,500

Any charitable project undertaken by an NRCA contractor member is eligible to receive the award. Projects, activities or donations do not have to involve roofing work.

NRCA awarded the 2019 CNA/NRCA Community Involvement Award to Showalter Roofing Service Inc., Naperville, Ill., at the International Roofing Expo® in February for its charitable work in 2018.

"We strongly believe in 'prosperity with a purpose,'" says CJ Martin, president and CEO of Showalter Roofing Service. "For us, that purpose is seeing to the basic human need for shelter, warmth and a safe place to call home, and winning this award has helped us do just that. Thank you, CNA and NRCA!"
